Music came first, the workshop came right after — and honestly, it's the best decision I ever made.
The organ and piano at five, in a small village in Burgundy. Then the viola at sixteen, and that's when things really changed — I wanted to understand how an instrument resonates, how it lives, how it's transformed in a luthier's hands.
I trained at the French Violin Making School in Mirecourt, then spent 15+ years as a professional violist before crossing over — from playing instruments to building and restoring them. Since then, I've worked in France and around the world, restoring instruments and building new ones for musicians who want something shaped around how they actually play.
Today, from my workshop in Norway, I build and restore violins, violas and cellos for musicians — classical, folk and jazz alike.
Every instrument is entirely handmade. I choose my wood with real environmental care, actively researching and testing new materials to avoid exotic woods — beautiful as they are, but not without risk.
A share of every sale — new commissions and restorations alike — goes toward environmental charity.
No obligation, no pressure, and I always reply myself.
